About Ed Fitzgerald

Ed Fitzgerald knows just one way to approach life - WHOLEHEARTEDLY.

It was the summer of 1974 when Ed Fitzgerald discovered his first true love. He was just 12 years old at the time, and he spent every waking moment pursuing his passion. But this wasn't an affection for a girl. It was the beginning of a deep and enduring love for the game of golf. Ed actually began playing at the age of six, but it was that summer at 12 years of age that his hobby transformed itself into a true passion. Ed lived off the ninth green of a country club, and he would arrive at the course by 8:00 am. He often wouldn't return home until 10:00 pm.

Do What You Love
Ed is living evidence of the mantra, "Do what you love and the money will follow." His passion for golf - from the challenge of the game to the camaraderie with friends to the beautiful scenery of the couse - eventually led him to become a PGA sanctioned apprentice golf professional. He worked his way through the various ranks and soon achieved status as a Class A professional. He's given more than 3,000 golf lessons in his life, and it was always Ed's goal to ensure the experience was a positive one for his pupil. He approached his golf career with a service-oriented mindset and thrived on the interaction with golfers, managing his staff, running the business and being around the game on a daily basis. He later went on to purchase several golf courses and spent more than 20 years of his life teaching golf, operating the courses - and loving every minute of it.

"I was fortunate to realize at a young age that no matter what you do, you have to pursue it full speed ahead," Ed explains. "If you don't put your heart into what you're doing, it's going to be very difficult to succeed."

Ed still loves playing golf, but there's nothing he enjoys more than spending quality tie with his kids, Cassandra and Eddie.
